FOREST ART PROJECT

L’Arbre dans l'art contemporain

Musée de l’eau - Pont-en-Royans  02.07.2022 - 30.10.2022

Commissariat : Paul Ardenne

DIGITAL LIFE YEREVAN

National Academic Theater Gabriel Sundukyan - Yerevan

26.11. 2021 - 12.12.2021

Rodolphe Barsikian continues his “DIGITAL LIFE” with this new exhibition imagined as a 100% immersive journey. The artist is taking a new step in the presentation of his work, offering the public a singular dive into his hybrid work with an unprecedented artistic performance combining tradition and modernity.

By returning to the sources of an identity whose influences punctuate his work, this presentation in Yerevan is symbolically a strong stage in the international journey he is embarking on.

Under the aegis of the French Embassy in Yerevan, the “DIGITAL LIFE” exhibition is relayed by the French Institute as part of the 5th edition of its November Digital 2021 event. During the exhibition, Rodolphe Barsikian will make part of his work accessible in the form of NFT, a choice allowing him to share it with a wider community, integrating new collectors and opening it up to new ways of collecting works of art.

DIGITAL LIFE PARIS

Galerie Froissart - Paris - 18.03. 2021 - 22.05.2021
Curator : Paul Ardenne

Vahan studio presents Rodolphe Barsikian's latest compositions. These compositions generate the strong image of a life in motion whose drawings are the heartbeat and the seismograph. Presented in large format or in 3D modules, they multiply lines, geometric shapes, impulses and contractions.

This former student of the Institut Supérieur des Arts Appliqués (LISAA) with a strong Armenian identity, is passionate about drawing, invents shapes, trajectories, digital embroidery.

It is a life regulated by a technopoetic creation, recording each instinctual moment, each vibration, each sensation, that Rodolphe Barsikian tries to retrace here. The artist thus offers a new look at the creation of the 21st century.

HYBRIDE4

Ancienne Banque de France - Lens - 26.06.2021 - 29.08.2021
Curator : Paul Ardenne

At the invitation of the Cou2Com association and on the occasion of its tenth anniversary, the Hybrid Contemporary Art Biennial brought together for the first time in Lens 43 international artists, crossing approaches to contemporary creation with the theme "open" .

Under the curatorship of Paul Ardenne, this 4th edition, “OUVRIR”, is intentionally non-directive, anti-authoritarian. It is inspired by the reality of current art, beyond its institutional or critical formatting. This reality is diversity, a multitude of expressions and points of view commensurate with the contemporary individual who is not resigned, resistant to normalization and less and less aligned. A lavish situation of works frequently resorting to all-out hybridization, from practice to the vocabulary of forms and utterances.

Guest artists : Leïla Alaoui, Rodolphe Barsikian, Corine Borgnet, Tia-Cali Borlase, Sylvie Castets, Claude Cattelain, Olivier Coisne, Guillaume de Sardes, Julien Discrit, Carole Douay, Bruno Dupire, Isabelle Dussart, Slimen El Kamel, mounir fatmi, Matthieu Faury, Véronique Fournier, Bertrand Gadenne, Aurélie Gravas, Agnès Guillaume, Abdelatif Habib, Ali Kazma, Rachel Labastie, Luc Lapraye, Gauthier Leroy, Clément Lesaffre, Thomas Lévy-Lasne...
